MiG helps disasters in Sichuan
5月24日の tom.com に MiG と Annie Crummer が四川地震の被災者をお見舞い訪問したことが記事になっていました。画像はありませんが、「愛と励ましを届ける」となっていました。
They said MiG and Annie brought love and supporting to disasters by earthquake in Sichuan on the webite of tom.com on May 24th.
四川的地震引起全球关注，基曾在个人网页上留言做出关心，他跟安妮也借这个受访机会鼓励灾民：“那是一个悲剧，相信没有人会了解受害者的感受，我们或者未能做什么，但爱与支持是十分重要的。”

そして、来月6月にモーリス・ベジャール バレエ団による 'Baｌlet For Life' の日本公演があります。どちらもとても楽しみな公演ですよね。

クイーンが、大ヒット・ミュージカル『We Will Rock You』の続編を制作中であることが明らかになった。メンバーのブライアン・メイとロジャー・テイラーが構想から役者のオーディションに至るまで全面的に監修を手掛けたミュージカル『We Will Rock You』は、ロンドンのウェストエンドにあるドミニオン・シアターで’02年5月より上演がスタート。クイーンのヒット曲を大々的にフィーチャーしたその豪華ミュージカルは、その後、世界中の劇場でも上演され、大ヒットを記録している。そんな中、メイがこのたび自身のサイトにて『We Will Rock You』のオリジナル脚本を手掛けたベン・エルトンとふたたびタッグを組み、新たなショウを世に送り出すことを明らかにした。メイは「その件については長い間、話し合ってきたんだ。ようやくベンが素晴らしい脚本を提供してくれて、列車が動き出したってわけさ！楽しみにしていてくれ！」とのメッセージをサイトに残している。なお、ミュージカル『We Will Rock You』は当初、’06年10月までの上演予定だったが、好評につき’08年10月まで上演期間の延長が決定している。

In an exclusive interview yesterday, show writer-director Ben Elton told the Star that not only is a We Will Rock You sequel planned, but there is a very
good chance it could start in Toronto.
"We love this city so much," said Elton, "not just
the talent of its actors but the generosity of its
audiences. It's a lovely thought to start it all over
again here, isn't it?"
Although the concept of a follow-up to the Queen
musical had been something "we'd always sort of
fancied" according to Elton, the rabbit was let out of the hat by Queen guitarist and songwriter Brian May on Monday when in the course of getting an honour-
ary degree from Exeter University, he revealed that a follow-up to the story of Galileo and Scaramouche

中国では、19日から3日間を全国的に四川地震の被災者に対しての追悼期間とし、TVやラジオなどの娯楽番組の放送を自粛したようです。追悼式には中国の芸能人やスターたちが出席したそうです。
インターネットのウェブサイトでも、上のような5.12の数字にロウソクを灯して冥福を祈る追悼画像が PC モニタいっぱいに表示されてましたよね。大地震の上に犠牲となった被災者の数があまりに多いので、地球規模の追悼は当然だと思う。
21日に MiG が香港から blog を更新してます。 MiG もミャンマーの被災者も含めてそのことに触れていて、現在香港にいるのでその悲しみが直に伝わってきてるんだなと感じます。 WWRY の公演は中止だったのだろうか？
