WWRY Hong Kong [17]

ここ数日間、MiG のチャリティコンサートばかりとりあげてきましたが、実はもっと大きなチャリティをやってたんですよ。　なんとそれは、Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts の会場の一角で行われてたんです。スポンサーでもある CANON が主催する WWRY Band の Drum Set とギターのオークション。 Roger Taylor のサインやWWRY Band のメンバーのサインなどが入ってるそうです。 これはスゴイお宝物ですが、Queen マニアか Hong Kong Rich でないとちょっと買えませんよねぇ。そして収益の全額を、十分な治療が受けられない AIDS 患者に医療を提供している MEDECINS SANS FRONTIERES HONG KONG に寄付されるということです。


「今回の WWRY 香港公演は Pacific-Asian Tour の中で最も大きなものになるだろう」 と MiG は自身の Blog に書いていたけど、このことだったんですね。オークションは、公演最終日の今日6月22日(日)に締め切られますが、Canon Hong Kong の website に 1週間前の15日の金額が出てました。いずれも香港ドルで表示されてます。ギターのほうは、日本で20万円弱ですが最終額は一体いくらで落札されるんでしょうかねぇ。

Canon Hongkong sponsored "We Will Rock You" Musical Charity Auction of Drum Set and Guitar in Accelerating Response!!

The auction ran from May 16 to June 22 at Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Music lovers may join this meaningful charity auction simply by filling the Auction Card with their desire bid price & personal information and drop the card inside the collection box placed at Canon Photo Shoot and Print Counter. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to MEDECINS SANS FRONTIERES HONG KONG for providing medical aids to needy people.


As at June 15, highest bid for the "We Will Rock You" Drum set and guitar was HK$9,888 and HK$13,888 respectively. read more.
