今日、MIG の blog が更新されました。タイトルからお分かりのように、MiG は今オーストラリアにいるんですね。北京でのことも書かれていて、モンブランのクロノグラフ腕時計の生産開始と関係してたようなことが書かれてます。ご覧のような天安門広場で飛びはねてる写真も載ってました。WWRY のポスターを真似てるんでしょうか？

Darryl Beaton in Tokyo
2006年 MiG と一緒に全米をツアーして回った Darryl Beaton が今年2度目の来日！そこで私 FUCHSIA はご本人にお会いすべく、11月6日六本木 Club Edge でのライブを見に行って来ました。全米ツアーでは、MIG がキーボードで Darryl はギターでした。今回は Darryl Beaton Band として来日のため、キーボードとボーカルです。
I went see Darryl Beaton Band's live at Club Edge in Roppongi Nov. 6th. This is the 2nd times he come to Japan
in this year. He went around to do the gigs with MiG in
the US. At that time Darryl played a guitar. This time he is doing gigs as the Darryl Beaton Band in Tokyo and Osaka. So he plays keyboad and sings.

いつどこで覚えたのかたった2度目の来日なのに、Darryl は曲紹介まで日本語でした。彼のキーボード演奏はまさに神業で、鍵盤を叩くというより指の先から音が出てる感じです。画像でも分かる通り Darryl は YAMAHA のシンセを愛用してます。YAMAHA MUSIC AUSTRALIA にも彼の記事が載ってて、「激しい演奏にも耐えられるので gig に専念できる」とその愛用の理由を語ってます。

ステージを降りた彼にお話を伺いました。今回2度目の来日ですよね？と聞くと、「日本が気に入ったからね」と Darryl 。東京の次は大阪に向かうというので、大阪にはおいしい物がいっぱいあるので、召し上がって来てくださいねと勧めると、彼は小声で「実はそれが目的なんだよ」とお茶目な回答でした。そのあと一緒に写真を撮ったんですが、撮る前に彼に面白い顔してとおねだり。私は変な顔を作って構えたのに、実際の写真を見たら、変な顔してるのは私だけで彼は普通でした。やられたよ！彼に面白い顔してねっていったのに・・・というと「僕の顔自体が面白いんだ」とニッコリ。Darryl Beaton はとてもお茶目でいたずらっぽい人でした。
こちらが FUCHSIA が撮影した、Darryl が演奏しながら歌って、しかも踊ってるという映像です。実際はもう少し早い動きですが、アニメーションのためゆっくり目になってます。
